I initially wrote this story for Apex Magazine’s Monthly Flash Fiction for the theme “Cat Got Your Tongue” and after rejection, it was housed at my Patreon (for members only section). Recently I’ve found out that there are some markets that accept reprints, and I’ve started sending some of my old stories that I didn’t shop around enough back then to these magazines.
